Andy Serkis was interested in returning to directing after his role in Venom 2 (2021), but was unable to do so due to commitments to Animal Farm (2025) (which he had previously postponed to direct the first), so screenwriter Kelly Marcel took over as director. In the first shot of Las Vegas, you can see the Sphere, a structure that was completed and opened in 2023. However, in the film, Eddie mentions that he and Venom have been together for a year.

Here it just stopped

I did not expect that this film would be filmed for us shippers, but I did not expect this either. No character development, just a comedy about reluctant friends, and it gets so boring when you think of comics where their bond is so deep. I felt that the first film would lead to this, but the second one was supposed to prepare me for this, but the second one was even more fun, and Eddie and Venom’s relationship was still developing.

But I liked the poisonous horse!!

So yes. Everything was good in the trailer, the rest is just boring bad guys preparing for a new movie.

Plot

Well, it not only met those expectations but exceeded them in every way

I was actually looking forward to watching The Old Man ever since I saw the first trailer trailer. I'm a fan of spy thrillers and Jeff Bridges so I had high expectations going in.

The acting, writing, directing, etc

Are all as good as it gets, FX always puts out great content and this show is no different. The only bad thing about this show is we have to wait a week between episodes, I wish they released all of them at once like they do on Netflix but since it's on Network tv I get it.

Binge watching has ruined me because I just hate waiting a week between episodes now

I'm definitely looking forward to season two of this and just hope it continues to be as good as this season was.

After the untimely death of his father, a young boy is left in terrible solitude in a sprawling country house with his newly widowed stepmother. Her stepmother, struggling to cope with the overwhelming task of parenthood, moves away, putting their fragile relationship at risk of collapse. After witnessing a bizarre and traumatic incident involving a patient, a psychiatrist becomes increasingly convinced that she is being threatened by a mysterious entity. A couple of days before the film’s September 30, 2022 release, the film’s cast showed up at various baseball games, sitting behind home plate, still and smiling as they stared into the camera, motionless despite the understandably concerned fans in the audience, while wearing Smiley T-shirts. Another appeared early in the crowd in the background during the Today Show. At about the 31-minute mark, Rose breaks a glass when her alarm goes off.

A few seconds later, as she checks the door, she is wearing shoes with laces. Based on what happens later at a party, there are several continuity issues that may not be “mistakes” but may actually be deliberate to show “ruptures” in Rose’s consciousness/sanity. The opening and closing logos of Paramount have a curved line in the shape of a smile at the base of the mountain. Lollipop Written by Beverley Ross and Julius Dixon Starring The Chordettes. I literally just wanted to rip my heart out. When would the heart pumping adrenaline stop!

The cinematography was incredible, I loved the lighting

The sound was out of this world, so don’t miss the “special sound” screenings. It was fresh and unpredictable horror in my opinion, this along with the barbaric duo for some of the best horror I would say in the last couple of years. Watch it and really think about the moral here. There was more to the story than what was revealed.

Solid film, great acting

For those who call this a nap fest are missing the point of a popcorn movie. Just a good horror classic that keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly guessing.

About to embark on a world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley begins to experience increasingly terrifying and unexplained events. Crushed by escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to come face to face with her past. The scar on Skye’s knee is in the shape of a smile. In one scene, Skye places a bottle of VOSS water on a stone/marble kitchen counter and a noise is heard that matches the sound of a plastic object being placed. The VOSS water bottles are glass, something that is actually specifically emphasized in the movie, and so the audio doesn’t match the action seen.. Skye Riley: [to Smile Entity] You’re not in control, me! . Featured on The 7PM Project: Episode 17 October 2024 (2024). A very disturbing depiction of the smile phenomenon using the pop music scene and celebrity culture as a backdrop. Skye, the central character, is at the center of this harrowing story that presents layers upon layers of one’s life spiraling out of control. We see most of the story from Skye’s point of view, and so the film does a great job of building empathy for the character, despite all her moral failings. It also presents some deep themes about the toxic culture of pop stardom. In the film, The Smile takes on many meanings as it reflects and pressure to show off and smile for the cameras when mental health is struggling. Her manager, her assistant and fans seem sane in the chaos, but their actions seem like instruments of torture. It’s so upsetting, I personally feel that Skye goes through too much and in the end I was just relieved that the movie was over. If you like body horror, you’ll love this. The movie is pretty scary, but it’s more disturbing than scary.

Maybe I was a little too excited to see the third part of the X trilogy, because I left the theater a little disappointed. Mia Goth plays Maxine. But the character deserves a better ending. The stakes weren’t high enough. I’m a fan of Kevin Bacon, but his character wasn’t threatening at all. It was more comedic (annoyingly) and gave too much screen time. The murders were fine. The detectives were one dimensional characters… and the ending was anticlimactic. I would have liked to see something more with a Tarantino feel. The best part of the movie (besides Mia) was the use of 80’s music and nostalgia. But I can’t attribute that to the directors. Not a bad movie at all. All the elements were there. But the final product was not as dynamic as it could have been. A24 produced the most memorable horror films of the 21st century. See the highest rated movies on IMDb.

Plus, Gaga discusses how she got into her dark persona and stuck with it. The subtitle of the film is "Folie a Deux" means “The Folly of Two”; in French. This initially led to speculation that Harley Quinn would appear in the film, which was confirmed shortly after. The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret. The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same insanity or delusion. It is also known as Lasègue-Falret syndrome. The foreman of the jury speaks of “the people of New York”; Instead of Gotham City. This is because New York State is the plaintiff in the criminal case, and this version of Gotham City is apparently located in New York State (most versions have Gotham in New Jersey). Before watching the movie, I avoided reading reviews or watching trailers because I had incredibly high expectations. With stars like Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, I was hoping for an intense and deep portrayal of the Joker – a character known for his dark, complex and psychopathic nature. Even with solid performances from Phoenix and Gaga, the film falls flat. the story we all wanted. Instead of delving deep into the Joker’s twisted psyche, we’re given a strange mix of musical numbers and dance sequences that feel out of place and often appear every few minutes with no real purpose. Joker’s suffering, his darkness and his complexity – all of that is missing. To make matters worse, we all know this isn’t the *real* Joker from the comics or previous movies. But even with this freedom, the film misses the potential to explore the character’s more psychological, chaotic side. Instead, we’re left with a shallow version of what could have been an immersive dive into madness. Supporting characters like Harley Quinn (played by Gaga) are equally underserved. Instead of playing into their infamous, toxic dynamic, her character feels one-dimensional, with little depth to their connection. The lack of significant interaction between the Joker and characters like Murray Franklin or even the inmates of Arkham drains the story of any tension or intrigue. It’s a real shame because with the right direction this could easily have been one of the best films of the year. Instead, it’s a disappointment. Art the Clown is set to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve. Director Damien Leone said several major studios have expressed interest in financing the film based on the unexpected success of Terrifier 2 (2022), even and without a full script, but he turned them all down because he is sure they would never let him shoot the opening scene himself, which he describes as "very controversial". Leone commented that the only reason he can be so uncompromising in his portrayal of horror and gore is because he finances his films independently, creates all the special effects himself to keep costs down and doesn’t have a major studio breathing down his neck to make the film more mainstream.. Mia mentions that it will soon be the 5th anniversary of the original massacre, but it happened on Halloween, and this movie taking place on Christmas 5 years later means that the anniversary only passed 2 months ago.. Julia’s Brother: Julia, I thought I was you said to stay away from my -[Art kills him with an axe] . There is an unedited version of the film that lasts 2 hours and 25 minutes with 5 additional scenes. Contains Terrifier 2 (2022). Well, well, well… I just finished watching this Oscar worthy movie, just kidding, but seriously folks… I really just finished watching this movie and as far as gore goes, it was definitely a triple whammy. I wasted no time getting to work in the first 10 minutes and by the time the shower scene came, my aunt was up from her seat and I didn’t see her until I got to my car. If you don’t like slasher/Gore movies, stay home. If movies like this float your boat, check your brains at the door and enjoy every bodily secretion that flows, drips, flows and splatters during this two hour slashfest..
